I am the Head of our addiction and psychiatric hospitals. I supervise and work jointly with other mental health professionals (Psychiatrists, Psychotherapists and Psychologists) to ensure quality holistic treatment and support to both clients and their families. I use Existential, Psychodynamic, Relational, and DBT approaches to work with a patient’s unresolved childhood wounding that unconsciously afflicts them, constituting one of the main causes of their addictions.
All inclients are thoroughly assessed by a team of Psychiatrists, Psychologists and Psychotherapists working under me.
They take the following assessments for newly admitted Inclients:
Psychiatrist – Mental State Examination
Psychologist – bio-psychosocial assessment, psychometric testing (MMPI 2) and use of the DSM V
Psychotherapist – understanding the client’s presenting issue through a timeline, identifying childhood wounding as the root of addiction, relational, humanistic, psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral, Body Therapy and transpersonal approaches.
The approaches also used in the rehab for addiction clients are Relational, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, Minnesota Five Steps, Addiction Family Therapy and Relapse Prevention Therapy.
I have also setup a one year Addiction and Food Disorder training myself which prepares our students to work in our own hospitals in the three main cities of Pakistan.
